My style of photography blends fine art & candid photojournalism, with a little fun. Like a just-picked organic honeycrisp apple, my style is crisp, clean, and fresh. I love bold colors, unique style, creativity, and couples, kids, and families that wear their hearts (and personalities) on their sleeves. I am drawn to people's eyes and emotions. I love capturing each individuals unique spirit and that glimpse of their soul. I love being in the zone and creatively capturing the interactions and feelings in each tiny moment. And the fact that those tiny moments can come and go in an instant, and yet speak volumes when captured, is what I'm after.
Weddings
I start by minimizing consumption and waste. I do that by utilizing digital technologies to deliver images electronically, instead of delivering an actual physical CD or DVD, and the accompanying packaging and emissions that come along in that process. When my clients do want prints, albums, books, or other physical photographic products I only print from labs using only recycled, eco-friendly, or FSC certified materials. My home office utilizes those same earth friendly products mentioned above, along with high efficiency energy star appliances throughout. I recycle or reuse everything I can, and truly care about you, me, and our planet. On a personal level I am a Vegetarian who opts to eat consciously. I choose organic, natural, and whole foods whenever possible. I also opt to support fair-trade and non-GMO products. Being an avid organic gardener myself, I understand the importance of biodiversity and sustainably managed forests and ecosystems. I truly care about the quality of our soil, air, and water...now and for all the future generations to come. On the path of continual learning, I'm always looking for ways to improve in all aspects of my life, and love helping others do the same. |
